My Profile

Born and raised in San Francisco, I grew up learning and appreciating the culturally well-diversified beautiful city that sits on the bay. In my youth, I participated in most of my school's sport teams as well as being the lead cellist in my school's orchestra. Because of my grandfather, a mathematics college professor, math was my favorite subject in elementary school, which I learned algebra by the second grade. My first job at the tender age of 17, I worked full-time as a bank teller for Crocker National Bank. For the next 10 years I worked within the banking industry.
Soon after earning my Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from San Francisco State University, I was hired on by a mid-size public accounting firm, with five partners, all of whom I reported directly to. Although I was hired as the firm's full-charge bookkeeper, my three years with the firm is where I got my start in accounting. After leaving the firm early 2006, I joined an up-and-coming finish and trim carpentry company down the Peninsula. I started out as the bookkeeper for the company, and during the first year of the company's expansion, I took on the position as controller for the company, which I held for five years. During this time, I had also owned a registered business in San Francisco called "AccuBook Services," which I retained clients of various industries that includes, but not limited to, the construction, legal, retail, interior design, painting, medical, automotive repair, wholesale distribution, property management, and real estate industries. I worked with different types of business structures—sole proprietorships, partnerships, limited liability companies, and s-corporations.
In mid-2013, I relocated to the East Bay, in the City of Concord, where I registered my business with a new name, "CalcuBook Services."
In addition to my Bachelor of Science degree, I also earned an Associate of Science degree in Administration of Justice from City College of San Francisco--while in my twenties, at one time, my interest was working towards a career in federal law enforcement.
In my spare time, I enjoy reading non-fictional uplifting books, playing chess, staying on top political and current world affairs, walks along the ocean with my doggie, taking a stroll in areas of beautiful natural surroundings, visiting the north shore of Lake Tahoe, traveling abroad, preparing and eating healthy foods, outdoor activities, and listening to great concert music of all types. Helping and caring for animals is my passion—I am an avid watcher of the "Animal Planet" network television station. My dream is to one day visit Africa to watch and study wild animals within their own natural habitats.
